Simulation exercise of a crash on Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport

Thursday, July 28, 2016, Bucharest Airports National Company (BANC) held an aircraft emergency exercise at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport. This type of exercise, which consists of a partial simulation of the intervention capacity in a potential crash of a passenger aircraft is organized every two years by Bucharest Airports National Company.

The operation was considered a success in terms of cooperation between the involved institutions and coordination of the specific intervention measures in case of a potential crash.   

The exercise organized by BANC aimed, among other things, for checking the organizational capacity and the inter-institutional cooperation in order to protect and save human lives and material goods.

The tactical application did not affect passenger traffic, which operated normally.
