Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport recertified in the ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation program
Following a special audit conducted by international experts, Bucharest Airports National Company was recertified in the ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation program for Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport. This is the first airport in Romania to receive the certification (in 2013) for the first level – “Mapping”.
Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport was also included in the top 90 airports in the world that meet international criteria for being accredited in the analysis and carbon emissions reduction area.
One of the most important programs of ACI Europe, Airport Carbon Accreditation is managed by an independent body whose members represent the European Commission, the United Nations Environment Programme, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the European Civil Aviation Conference, the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation.
